Im only 16 right now, however its my dream to become a nurse practitioner i knew it was required to have a MSN (6) years of school but now that they are changing it to a DNP most likely how long would it take to become a nurse practitioner if they make DNP manditory so i know it will take 4 years for BSN than 2 years of getting experience and that how long for the DNP?

You have asked this question or some variation on it multiple times and it has been answered for you in your previous posts. If you do not like the answers you are getting, it should be easy enough to research this on google. I suggest you take a look at the universities you are interested in attending to get an idea of the various program lengths and paths to get there.

This.
You are also not from the US, you are Canadian; are you planning to go to a US university? If not, then research in your area what the requirements are, as explained in a previous post.
Best wishes.

Are you planning to immigrate to the US then? First you need to consider immigration requirements.
Exactly where are you planning on going to school
I have asked this question once and it recieved no answers; That is why I am asking again ...
I am a citizen of Both Canada and USA so immigration is irrelavant, and yes i plan to go to university in Texas
You HAVE received answers in your "Future of Nurse Practitioners" thread.
As stated before, check with the BON and the universities that you are interested in; at this time, there is NO phasing out of the MSN, and as I am sure and most of are, sure of one thing, we CAN NOT predict the future...
Too bad that answer isn't up to scratch, but it is what it is....as of present, there are still MSN NP programs in the US...google is your friend.
I know there are MSN programs left but all im asking is how long a DNP program takes after you have your BSN. I have checked on university websites and it says 2 years but i dont know if its 2 years after a BSN or a masters so im confused, and so what if ive asked before maybe im just seeking clarification.
Contact the schools and find out...they will be better equipped to know what the coursework will be like post-BSN; there are a variety of factors that go in based on the individual student and/or program requirements.

I'm in a BSN to DNP program and it is 3 years. Some schools offer it in 4 years. So total of 7-8 years depending on where you attend.
