Just curious-how long did it take you to receive a decision from your school when you applied?
I feel like I have been waiting forever & I think the post office people are going to smack me if I don't stop going there three times a day!
I hate not knowing what I am doing and I am really trying to be patient!
Thanks!

hmmmmm...went to an open house in Feb '03; applied shortly thereafter; think I received acceptance in late May or early June; went to orientation in June and started classes in August of '03.
When is the school you applied to supposed to start?

I applied ages ago... last october I think... went through the whole process, prereqs., seminars, interview and just got my letter on July 25. We start in September. It seems to take the schools forever to make their decisions and send out letters. But I'm IN!

I applied at two schools. One school I got my rejection letter in 2 weeks. The other school I got my acceptance letter in 6 weeks. And I thought I waited a long time...

At my school, if you meet all the requirments (like GPA, pre-reqs, passed NET score, etc.) then you get an "under consideration" letter. Then you are required to turn in immunization papers, CPR certifcation, order uniforms (even though you might not get in! ), and have proof of insurance all by certain deadlines. I think they do it like that partly to weed people out. You have to be real serious about it, plus you have to pay a heafty price with the CPR class, blood titers and such, health insurance costs and uniform purchase (mine was $101 dollars!)
Anyway, I did all this before the last deadline which was July 9th (a Friday). By next Thursday I got my letter saying I officially got in! Gotta go to oreintation next week! :roll
Glad to hear you got in. All this nursing stuff tends to be disorganized. It's rather worrisome sometimes. :uhoh21:

School one...9 months for the denial letter
School two...6 months & I have still not gotten the letter. They verbally told me last week I was accepted.
School three...6 weeks or so for denial letter.
School four...6 weeks for acceptance.
School five...I applied the beginning of this month and should hear by the end of August or early September.
I think most answers depend on what kinds of admission the do. The shorter ones are usually rolling admissions and longer either have a deadline or a large applicant pool.

The first day of classes is September 8th.
Thanks everyone! I guess I am going to have to keep on being patient...As of my interview on the 15th of July they had around 10 spots left, 30 applications along with mine and more coming through everyday. (No pressure)
I gave them the very last thing they needed to complete my application process on the 19th and now am just waiting...
I just wish they would hurry up so if I am not in I can take some classes somewhere else and they are filling up fast with college starting at the end of August plus I need to arrange child care.
Thanks again! (Maybe tomorrow!!!!)
