How long does it take your instructor to...

grade your exams??? Ugg... ours is extremely slow! It took her 2 1/2 weeks to grade our last exam and I'm still waiting for our grade from a test we took last Monday! I'm going nuts! I can't keep checking online to see if it's posted! I'm going mad!

The test was mostly short answer/fill in the blank...there were some MC which should be very easy to grade... there are about 70 students in the class and she teaches one other course as well. So I can understand a few days... but I think a week should be the max...

How about anyone else??? Am I being too pushy??? I want my grade now so I can prepare how to study for the next test... if we get it back the day before... it's a bit hard to do that!

I would definitely say something! I know what you mean about being able to prepare based on your last score. I had an A&P Lab Professor that took forever to get our lab scores back to us (okay my forever is just a week but others had them back that same day posted online) so I said something in class, other classmates agreed and next thing you know we were getting our scores back that same day. Sometimes it just takes a little student insight to help a teacher know what he or she might be doing to keep you from your optimum!

We were told our grades on tests would be posted by 2:20pm on the same day as the test..which is the time we leave classes for the day. Our first test is on Friday, so I guess I'll find out how accurate that statement is.

Yeah I know the feeling.. and as soon as you stop looking they post them... one professor waited over the entire spring break to post exam results. hope you get them soon

It ususlly takes our teacher 3-4 days to post our exam results. Of course we are all anxious for the results and especially if we have to wait over the weekend.

Yup! First day was Monday, first test is Friday and another this coming Monday and another next Friday and so on! The test on Friday should be an easy A..open book :lol2: .

Considering most instructors nowadays get the secretary or a student assistant to grade papers, 2 1/2 weeks is serious laziness regarding the department.

People like that need to be OUT of the teaching profession.

We have a 40 student nursing class, and whenever we test, our results are usually posted that night. Occassionally, if test scores need further review, we won't see the results until the next day. Waiting over a week is ridiculous.

We take most of ours MC online, posted immediately, once you hit submit. They occasionally have to adjust them later if there was a mistake, so your grade could possible go up a few points.

We got our scores tonight. She handed out our exams at the end of class. She still hasn't "posted them" online yet... but at least I know.

I really wouldn't mind the wait if she would tell us from the get go that it will be 2 weeks.... But our exam was last Monday. (class M and W)... Wednesday she said she had 1/2 of the exams graded and they should be available by Thursday or Friday. Well... Thurs-nothing.... Fri-nothing... Sat-nothing... Sun-nothing... Monday at class.... stated that she had 1 question left to grade... they would be posted Tues... Tues-nothing... Finally... tonight we got them back...

So like I said... I wouldn't mind if she would have said from the beginning... it will be until next Wed... but sheesh...

i think my anp prof got tired of having to grade all of our lab quizzes/practicals b/c we started grading our on on the honor system right after we finished.... 3 cheers for instant gratification
