Wondering how long most people study after graduation, for NCLEX? Weeks, months?

Dunno about after graduation but I'm just starting my 2nd quarter of school and I am already starting to do questions/rationales for it.. even though I won't be taking it for 2 years yet.

I'm taking mine tomorrow and though I did nclex prep questions my entire last semester of school.. i'd say I studied for the nclex for about 3-4 weeks, hoping it was enough! I graduated in December and many of my classmates have already taken it in the last few weeks.. I kinda wish I took it sooner, the wait has been killing me!!!

Good luck!! I've been re-reading my Saunders book, but I will be registering for a review class. It's 3 weeks long, but the program can be purchased for 5, 7, or 15 weeks. Honestly I think 3-6 weeks should be sufficient for most.

I graduated in December and I am taking it April 2nd, so that will be 3 months for me. Alot of the students that graduated with me already have taken it and passed.

I reviewed for 5 months.. I enrolled in a Kaplan review course here in the Philippines - which is 4 months long, plus a live class.

Planned to study at least 3 hours everyday for 1 month; ended up doing questions for 1-2 hours/day 4 days before the test. Passed at 75. I think the best way to study is by doing questions with rationales.

You can't study too much (although my mother tried to convince me of this, telling me I was going to get confused and forget everything). There is no trick to pass to test and replace knowledge and being able to use it. I graduated in December and took a review course. Then I studied pretty much day in and day out for one month straight. Practice questions help you learn to use whats already in your head, so practice, practice, practice!! Eat, breathe, and sleep NCLEX!

Hey cacurlytop, i am still in nursing school but from older friends they recommended studying for about a month. I know most of them took a 2-3 week NCLEX prep course and highly recommended it.
I actually have a question for you..I saw that you had an externship and Cook's, I had an interview there and didn't want to ask them, but out of curiosity was the externship paid? And how did you like working there?
