Just curious about how long it should be before I start looking for it in the mail or freaking out is probably going to be more the case!! We were told that our Deen would mail it in as soon as they had all the final grades in and I am assuming that was done Monday since we got our grades yesterday in the mail. Any clue anyone? How long did it take everyone to get theirs?
Also, how soon after you get your ATT are you going to take your test? I want to do it ASAP but also feel like I need some time to refresh and get down the things that I had problems with too.
My pinning is this Wednesday the 18th and my graduation is Saturday the 21st. I'm planning on going to visit my boyfriend in Indiana from June 12-20, and then he is coming back to visit me from the 20-27. Should I take the Nclex before I go visit him if I can get things scheduled that fast? Do you think I could schedule it that soon? It seems a lot of people here scheduled it pretty quickly. Knowing my school though, they'll take ages to send out whatever they need to for us to be eligable. I think it would be much better though to have it done and over with so I can enjoy my time with him. Then I'll have almost a month until I start work on July 11.
Did you guys have to mail in an application with $35 to your state boards? I hope that my school is not doing things slowly by using snail mail when we can use other ways...
If the school got your check with the form it should all go well. One check is for the NCLEX the big one the other is for the test site fee.
About the boyfriend, get the time slot asap before there all gone or you might have to take much latter. You should take it before you start work becuse you will have no time afterwards to study. Do one hour sprits, write note cards with S/S on them and and think who are the most critical ones.

We were lucky, our school had us back in January get them the money that we needed for the boards, tests, etc and they sent that in for us. When I went to the PeasonVue site it showed that all I needed to bring to the test was my ATT, ID, and myself :) Yesterday I was shocked at how quickly space was filling up for the tests in my areas. I had to repick about 6 times to come up with a date and time that I wanted. I picked a smaller city so I am sure that is one reason for the lack of choice of dates still available. They were booked for the rest of May.
Hopefully your school won't drag their feet. I would get it over with before spending time with boy friend that way ya'll will really be able to enjoy time together. I also wanted time off before starting work and this has allowed me to have almost another 3 weeks with my kids before I go to work.

I live in Virginia and we had to apply to the VA BON with a 130 dollar fee, I think for initial license. Had to have the picture, have it notarized, blah blah blah. I did that back in late Feb/early March (i'm an early bird). Applied and paid for the NCLEX thru Pearson VUe-another 200 bucks.
Graduated Friday. Have no idea when my transcripts will be sent, b/c here in VA you can't get your ATT until the BON has your transcript. grrr. so we'll see....
I can start work before having ATT (i start may 31) but we have to have our ATT within 30 days of starting work.
I got my ATT through email today. I really wasn't expecting it this soon but glad that I got it none the less.

I wasn't even aware you could get it through e-mail. Why didn't my school tell me this!! Urgh! I still haven't received mine. I don't even expect to get it until sometime in June. Urgh!!
OK, so I received my Eligibility Notice in the mail from the BO N, but still no ATT from Pearson! I called the Board and they said they made me eligible to test on the 15th! I called Pearson and they said they haven't received anything from the Board. Now I have both parties "looking into the matter." Geesh
I graduated on May 7th. I got my ATT via email today. i went to Pearson Vue online and scheduled my test for July 7th. I waited because my pediatric nurse residency starts on July 11, and I could not work as an extern with my license, so I decided to wait late to take the test. Good luck everyone, on the NCLEX!
NCLEX wasn't too bad. I got 75 questions. Surprisingly, no ABGs or lab values. Lots of prioritizing and room assignments. I also had a lot of med-surg diagnoses, then they would ask what symptoms to look for. No delegation questions. 2-3 calculations and 3-4 select all that apply. Overall, I think it went alright.
