How hard is the pn/vn nclex exam?

Published

I've heard that is was really hard and I've heard that it wasn't that bad. My school included eri as a study tool and there was an exit exam to pass prior to graduating. Some say the nclex is not as hard as it. No matter how much i study i feel like it's not enough because you can never remember everything and you never know what topics your going to get on the nlcex!

I took NCLEX REVIEW CLASSES FOR 10 DAY..INSTRUCTER TOLD ME IN ALL AMERICA THEY HAVE 3000 NCLEX CD AND U CAN GET ANY CD OUT OF THAT......SO I TOOK NCLEX EXAM PN I GOT 205 QUESTION...IT WASNT HARD

BUT I DIDNT PASS ..NOW I AM GOING TO TAKE AUG 10 2ND TIME

NCLEX PN/VN is a computer adaptive test, having said that, this exam adapts to the ability of the test taker. Everytime you get the question right, the question just gets harder. That's the reason why some people would say that NCLEX is really hard and some would say it is easy.

For people who said that it is really easy, that is either they are well prepared for the exam or they keep making mistakes and just keep getting low difficulty questions. For some who said that it was really hard, that is either they are doing really good and keep getting hard questions or they are just not prepared for it.

NCLEX is suppose to measure our competency as a nurse and our critical thinking... It is true that you can not remember everything, however, IMHO... NCLEX measures if we could be a safe nurse... The rest we could re-learn later during practice and experience..

I took 6 days review at my school, I read some modules that I purchased online then I did couple questions on saunders & lippincott cds. I'm not one of those students who did thousands of questions. I did less than 500 probably. I was lazy and I was working a lot of hours as a cna. Those modules really helped me. I just kept reading the 158 pages of notes on those modules for 2 weeks and it made me take my test easy that I thought I failed coz I was done in less than 30 mins. I passed my nclex pn at 85 and got lucky on my first try. Depending on how you learn stuff, that's how you should study so you don't get too much headache. If your a visual learner then read. If your auditory, there's clips on eri to listen to. It summarizes everything we've studied in school. I can email you the modules that I used to study for my test if you want. :nuke:

Yes, please send me the Modules you used in email diammo22, please!! Thank in advance!!

Can I remind members that exchanging purchased stuff can not be done on the forums but in private, also be aware of copyright issues as generally it is frowned upon
