How hard is it to find a rural nursing job in Arizona in a farming community?

I can't think of any farming communities offhand. We don't farm much here,
probably cotton is the biggest crop. What place did you have in mind?

Ummm.....I think Arizona is not exactly 'farming' community territory. Lots of small towns, however.

Not true! cattle, cotton, and citrus are three of the five "c's" which provided the basis for arizona's economy through the seventies and still play a large part of the economy.....but they're also part of the reason we have water disbutes with colorado.
hmmm... From what I've read Arizona has some pretty fertile land, the main problem is the lack of water. I've read you can grow just about anything in Arizona (maybe not on a commercial level) as long as you have a water supply and provide shelter for plants that can't handle direct sunlight. The most common crops I have heard of people growing in Arizona are cotton, citrus, wheat, and believe it or not lettuce! I read somewhere that Arizona is a major lettuce grower. I think some of those crops are very limited to certain regions of the state. If all else fails you can eat a cactus and cactus fruit both of which can be rather tasty.
My only concern is that more and more farming communites will start to close down due to the lack of water if we don't figure something out soon.

We grow 19% of the countries lettuce. TON of cotton, cantaloupe etc.
As a total agricultural power we are middle of the road.
Rural Nursing jobs are few and far in between BUT they can be found especially with the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
The BIA is always hiring RNs and many of their facilities are in rural communities.

I don't know about farming communities but I'm on a twitter feed for nursing jobs and lately I'm seeing tons coming through for rural places that I think are Indian Reservations.
