Look for community college programs !

Hate to break it to you, community college programs are more competitive than BSN programs. Because of the cost being less, more people are trying to get in.

Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!! We had over 700 applications for a total of 85 spots in the program I went to at one of the community colleges in my area. But sure, go ahead and apply. See what happens.

Aw. Guess I was just speaking from my personal experience then. Schools (cc) in my area accept everyone who applies, as long as they pass the HESI.

Every where is different!

Well, if you persist in using text/chat speak, and not checking spelling, the odds are slim indeed.

I was thinking this as well. If OP doesn't care enough about how he or she is perceived to spell properly and use full sentences and proper grammar, their chances of acceptance at any quality school are probably quite low. An ability to communicate effectively and professionally is critical - at least in my experience and observation.

Is there a reason for the f that you can explain. I recently got accepted into a very competitive absn program. I had to explain why I got a D, and F and a W all in the same semester. My mother died during finals week and I missed the two weeks prior to help her plan her funeral. I also had to show that every following semester my gpa improved even earning honors the semester after. If something in your life contributed to it explain it. I even pointed it out in my personal statement. Don't make excuses, but showing progress after and retaking helps them see it's not a pattern.

Re take those classes if you need them for pre-reqs. And petition them with your counselor to remove the bad grades. Good luck!

I failed anatomy twice, failed an entire semester, and withdrew a ton of classes. And yet I graduated from a public university with my BSN and got my RN license about one month ago. My GPA was like 3.25. But I had a high TEAS score and my interview went well. It all depends on your school.

I had two F's and 5 W's due to some very unfortunate events one semester. I retook the classes and have had straight A's ever since. Advisors and admissions could tell I had a bad semester, but it was obvious that I improved.

I was just accepted into two GREAT nursing programs and am waiting to hear back from a couple more places. If you have a GPA above 3.5 I think you would get in somewhere.

One college I applied to had a "forgiveness policy". If you had a bad semester you could write an essay about your problems or adversities and how you overcame them. Getting reference letters from instructors, getting a high entrance exam score (if you have to test), and having a good GPA will give you better chances of being accepted.

PS: don't ever let ANYONE tell you something is impossible. If you want to be a nurse, then no one can dim the passionate fire within you! Good luck to you!

Hey, do you think you can message me how you were able to do it? I'm curious because I have three Ws and 1 C.

If you withdrew for a family emergency, would you need to show proof?
