Hi all,
I haven't even applied to nursing school yet, I'm still finishing up my pre-reqs. I'm just curious to find out just how expensive nursing school is. Some people say is really expensive, others say it's not. How much is your program going to cost you? Difference of costs in BSN & ADN program?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
I took pre reqs at a community college & am starting at a private college (Catholic & not for profit) for the last two years of a BSN program. The community college was about 5k/year (I was paying out of county rates) & with my Phi Theta Kappa scholarship the BSN portion will be about 15k/year. Total: $40,000 for four years & a BSN.
Stephalump a gus lol could you please help me? $800???
How did you do this? Could you inbox me? or email me?
I am prospective to either Athens Tech (CC) or Chamberlain (private). Athens would be under 7k for the whole thing, and a little under 60k for Chamberlain. My options are very limited bc I was dismissed from my first program (maxed out attempts). Hopefully Athens Tech pans out. Either way, I'm gonna do what I gotta do!
NURSE ON!
It depends on where you go. The options I looked at ranged from 11K (ADN at community college) to 130K (private university direct-entry MSN).
I'm attending an out-of-state public university for an ABSN. Cost is aprox $50K for the 15 month program, not including living expenses. Fortunately I was able to get scholarships that pay ~40% of that amount.
My BSN is 46k for three years, its public, OHSU in Oreogn.
that's just tuition -- you also got to pay for health/dental insurance, and facility use fees for the satellite you are going to (if you aren't up at Portland). My financial aid package recommended I borrowed 35k each YEAR for tuition + living expenses.

For the 4 semester ADN program I'm in it'll cost about $1500 (give or take) a semester. Around $6000 total
