It might be the wax they are using on the floors. I've worn various types of shoes over the years, and mine will squeak if they soles are wet and they've just waxed the floors. I know it can be extremely annoying!!! Especially at night when one is trying to be on the quiet side. Good luck : )
I have a pair of white rubber type clogs that squeaked all the time, my husband suggested taking out the insoles and lining them with felt. I lined the bottem of the insoles with white felt, I glued the felt in place with elmers glue. "No more squeaking".
Okay, maybe I'm slow, but how does felt, or baby powder or whatever, keep the soles of your shoes from squeaking on the floor?

I thought my shoes were squeaking from the floor, but they still squeaked on carpet. The culprit was the insole rubbing against the rubber of the shoe. When I would take the insole out and put the shoes back on the squeaking stopped. So, by putting felt around the bottom of the insole it prevented the insole from rubbing against the shoe. Hence, no squeaking.

I have regular white nursey clog type shoes and they squeak every time I take a step. Any advice? It's kinda irritating.
