I attended a pre-nursing social on Thursday, March 13th where they announced the letters were going out via email...
March 14th I spent all day pretending I wasn't checking my email all day. I went to the beach with a friend to pass the time. FINALLY at 4 pm I got THE LETTER!
My husband and I celebrated with Thai food and a new MacBook Air! And I was fortunate, I was accepted at a school somewhere tropical!
I received my acceptance yesterday when I got home from my 12 hour shift as a CNA II in Hemoc-Oncology and I haven't stopped grinning from ear to ear! I want to encourage every applicant and student out there to keep on trying! I am a very young 60 embarking on a second career after 30 plus years in corporate America. If I can do this so can you!
Got my letter yesterday. They were supposedly mailing them today, but all week I've been impatiently waiting for the mail. I was sure it was a 'no' because the envelope was so thin -- just one sheet of paper. When I was applying to schools back in the day, a thick packet meant yes, a single page meant no. Then I read, "It is a pleasure to inform you..."
I got my letter 2 days ago by e-mail and when I saw it I literally could not close my mouth. I was pretty much in shock the whole night and when I finally wiped the drool that was about to fall from my mouth, I called my husband and kids over to the computer to read it too. Big hugs and kisses all around. Super Blessed!!!
