time to deal with some of the women I work with. I am in my final weeks of my nursing program and will be starting my new position as a graduate nurse in late May. I am just looking for some pointers from you guys on dealing with the sarcasm and aggressiveness of some of the women that I may be working with. I have always been very polite and courteous to whom ever I work with, but since I began this nursing journey, I have come across some very RUDE and aggresssive women (many are very defensive). Not all women are like this of course, since I have also worked with some very nice women and have learned alot from them. I normally just ignore the sarcasm, but I am afraid if I continue to ignore it, I may get EATEN UP on the floor once I start my job....
Hey guys what do you think of starting a male nursing company...the slogan can be " Male nursing available.....top quality care without the DRAMA".
I apoligize in advance to the women out there that this may anger.
Got a 1995 C4. Bought it new for the wife so I really shouldn't say it's mine, even tho I paid for it. But in a marriage what's her's is mine and what's mine is her's, right? She uses that line when telling folks she owns my 2 airplanes.
I was an aircraft electrician & com/nav technician in the USMC, active duty 1980-1988. F-4 Phantoms; F-4J/S & RF-4Bs
What aircraft you keeping in the backyard hangar?

Oldies but goodies. Got a French made Stampe SV4C built in 1948 and a 1942 Vultee BT-13A.
Hope we don't get in trouble by getting off topic...:uhoh21:
I'm gonna be a drama queen about losing the post I just typed!!! :angryfire
Anyway, I work with a male/female drama tag team couple. It is very frustrating - I would like more information on the op's original question and that is how to deal with them.
Ignore - not good because folks get hurt.
Confront? They deny evidence placed squarely in front of them.
A good book about communication between men and women btw is Deborah Tannen's "You Just Don't Understand" Men and Women in Conversation. I wrote out an example from her book in the post that disappeared but I'll just point you to any online book source and you can read the first couple of pages yourself to get a taste of how we see things differently.
As I mentioned on another thread - Men and Women Are Different.
I also really liked llg's posts.
