How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?

Hey I'm new to this site, and was just curious how Nova's nursing program is. I just got accepted into the Fall 2010 nursing program at the main campus in Davie. Any advice on how it is? Did you feel prepared when you took your NCLEX after completing the 27 month program? Would love to hear from anybody. I'm so excited and cant wait to start in august! :)

Hey you guys! I called Baptist and they already chose the students. It is 30 people who they pick.

Those of you attending Kendall campus, we will not be registered from here to two weeks. I called

Kendall campus and they are waiting from the list from Baptist to register us. Ok.... :)

I got my rejected letter... I didn't want to rely on loans but now I have too. However, my tuition for this semester is arond 8 grand. And my financial aid only came up to 4 grand, that's without Pell grant just the Subsidized and Unsubsidized loans, and the FRAG. That's not even enough to cover the tuition, books, uniforms, etc.

you know i was rejected too.I dont have the obligation of working for 3 years for them which i am glad.I am hoping that my financial aid will be enough to cover tuition and books.The advisor told me it will.When i am done i will be able to work whereever i want so thats the good side.I am greatful i got into the program!!!Good luck at Kendall i know you will do well.I will be on the main campus.:)

As of today, i am officially registered for my classes at fort Myers. Next item on my list are uniforms and books..... I am getting super excited guys.......(~_~)

First of all do you have access to sharklink or even better webstar??? those are quicklinks that are on the the top right corner of the NSU home page right next to the search button.From those two links you can access your grades, register for classes next semester, financial Aid etc.... I took all of my pre reqs at Nova from the beginning so i'm not new to the nova system. If you or anybody else need any extra help for alot of things, let me know and i will give you guys my email or number, if you need more guidance.

I just accessed webstar and I'm not registered yet, I figured since you were registered I would be too since we go to the same campus but I guess thats not the case! I may call in a couple days if its not sorted out soon. Thanks for the help though! I'm so excited to start school!!

Hi I got rejected too! As far as I have heard, Baptist Scholars only accepted 10 students from Nova. The majority of the nursing scholars come from Barry University. But Ohh well. I am going to be attending the Kendall campus.I checked my schedule and I am still not registered for classes. I paid my full tuition since June 29th. Has anyone purchased uniforms yet?[/quote

Hi May 21..i think i might have misunderstood..so they take thirty from all three schools? i thought it was thirty from Nova alone.Anyway i realize you paid your tuition already.If you dont mind me asking was your financial aid able to cover everything or was it personal funds that you used.I was just wondering if i need to start considering other means of paying.

Hello!

I am attending the Fort Myers Campus in August 2011. I saw that some people posted something about being registered for classes already. I went on my Sharklink and I am not registered for any classes. I have not received anything for background checking. Who should I call in regards to that? I thought that during orientation they are going to register us for classes, as well as show us the scrubs with different styles for us to purchase. Please, let me know anything or who I should contact.

Hello,

To those who still are not registered for classes in any of the campus, you can call them and request to be registered early. thats exactly what I had to do. Before you call them about it, check your VIP page in the area where it said that you have been accepted in the nursing program. It should say underneath it wether you are fully admited into the program as in all you paper work and financial aid as been received and processed. If it does then you can call them and ask to be register early. For those going to Ft Myers Judy Rossington is the lady who does the registration, you can call her at (239) 274-3486 but you need to have a reason why you should be registered early and she will ask you to send her an email stating why: her email is [email protected] of Luck to everybody

Yes i also got denied by Baptist but you know i am still thanking God that i am in the nursing program and i know that with his help i will be able to pay for school and make it through the program.If it was God's will i would have made it in.So you should still be greatful you will be done with school in 2 years, you will be a nurse without any obligations or commitment for the next three years.What campus are you attending?

Sorry i took so long to reply. but yes you are right, i am super happy i got accepted into the program! it took me awhile to get over it but im starting to realize it just wasnt meant to be and that there is probably something better coming my way... im just bummed i have to depend on student loans! :down:

Does anyone know the website i need to go to order uniforms???Also has anyone bought thier text books as yet? If so where did you find the textbook list??? Thanks in advance
