How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?

Published

Hey I'm new to this site, and was just curious how Nova's nursing program is. I just got accepted into the Fall 2010 nursing program at the main campus in Davie. Any advice on how it is? Did you feel prepared when you took your NCLEX after completing the 27 month program? Would love to hear from anybody. I'm so excited and cant wait to start in august! :)

Where did u get it?? I want one lol

On amazon, like 17 bucks. The newest edition is the sixth, it's red. It's cool, it's full of tips and quick notes. It's called Saunders student nurse planner. I ordered it and it came in like a week. Get it, we'll both have it!!

Yeah I am really freaking out about this. I am going to be signing a lease soon and everything up that way just to go to school there. So ZDream got a transfer? Thanks again everyone!

Hi Tanya,

No I never got a transfer. I had originally been accepted into Kendall campus and my VIP page stated welcome to Kendall campus and all, but the other day I logged on and it didn't say that anymore so I called to question it and they told me they had received a request from "me" stating to be switched to Davie. I immediately told them that one, I had never spoken to anyone regarding transferring and two, why would I switch to Davie if I live REALLY far from Davie and Kendall campus is 10 min from my house. They apologized and fixed the error. This was just a mistake that they have no clue what happened! It was really weird :uhoh3:

o cool didnt know they had a student planner for nurses! im deffintly going to look into that! cant wait to meet you all saturday! =)

hi everyone i just wanted to congratulate everyone that was accepted into this semester!!! i was at nova yesterday and they told me that 1,100 people applied!!!!!! and they only accepted 110!! so for those of you who made it congrats!!! good luck next week!!!

2 1/2 more weeks!!! I wish I could meet with you all on Saturday but I have work :( but can't wait till orientation, maybe I can meet you all then :) Also, I didn't know we could request to go to the Kendall campus. Is it still too late for that?

I spoke to the advisor today for entry level and she informed me that there are no transfers to Kendall campus. The deal with that is- if you were not accepted into the baptist scholars program they placed you at Kendall campus instead of the main campus. I also tried to ask if I would be able to transfer and she said everything is full at this point and there were never really transfers being processed in the first place. Bummer, I know :/

As for Saturday, I know I said I was going to be able to make it but I actually move into my new apartment that day and won't be able to get over to the broward mall. I hope we can exchange some sort of communication to meet up on orientation day! School starts before we know it!! :)

Bummer :/ It would be soo much closer for me but I guess the drive should be worth it haha

Does anyone know when do we need the scrubs for cuz it's expensive and where do we get the clinical jacket from??

@jhansi1990- You have to get the scrubs and jacket from the nova online uniform store. The jacket is at webmedbooks.com/nova and the scrubs are at nsuuniformstore.com. The thing is that since they need to be engraved, you have really no choice but to buy the jacket and scrub tops from the online website. BUT, I found a uniform shop that sells the bottoms for buy 3, get one free. And, they are only like $15 instead of the $18 Nova wants. This shop told me they used to be the provider for Nova, but Nova dropped them. It is called Uniforms for America and it is located on Broward Blvd, just East of University in the BigLots plaza. I paid $50 for 4 bottoms, it would have been $72 through Nova. Hope this helps!
