Hey I'm new to this site, and was just curious how Nova's nursing program is. I just got accepted into the Fall 2010 nursing program at the main campus in Davie. Any advice on how it is? Did you feel prepared when you took your NCLEX after completing the 27 month program? Would love to hear from anybody. I'm so excited and cant wait to start in august! :)

GOOD NEWS GUYS!!! I randomly went to a uniform shop near my house and they had our scrubs!!! The said they used to be the uniform provider for Nova, but Nova dropped them. We can get them for 15.99 AND buy 3 get one free!!!! Oh and they engrave the tops. But, the engraving is like 10 dollars, so I bought the bottoms only and I'll buy the tops from Nova. YAY!! It's called Uniforms for America and its on Broward Blvd just East of Univeristy Drive on the left side in the BigLots plaza. Hope this helps! Hope to meet you all soon!
@lindalove008: Congrats on your acceptance!!:)....You found out so late lol...You only have 3 weeks left...Did you pay $1000 for your seat?...Everything is on the orientation website: http://www.nova.edu/cwis/hpdasa/orientation/index.html and http://www.nova.edu/cwis/hpdasa/orientation/entrylevel/index.html

The uniforms they have at the bookstore are not the same ones online. The ones at the bookstore are 'unisex' so they fit weird for women since they're meant to fit both men and women. The ones online have certain kinds for men and for women so they fit right.
What you could do, just to make sure you get the right size, is go to a uniform store in your area that sell 'Cherokee' brand uniforms and try them on. Thats what my boyfriend and I did, and let me tell you...I'm glad we did, if not we would have bough they wrong ones.
In regular clothing I'm usually a S/M and the size I had to get for the women's tops (which are different from the men's one) is a XS. They run big. And the pants I had to get them Petite S. I'm real short with big thighs, LOL, so I had to accommodate. And the women's pants are awesome because they have the regular drawstring pants which not most people like, and then you have the elastic band ones, and theeeeeeen you have one that has BOTH! That's the one that fit me best; drawstring elastic flare pants! :)
I really encourage you to go somewhere and try them on!
I decided to buy 3 tops and 2 bottoms because once I have the colour in front of me I'm going to purchase another set of pants at the uniform store since they're pricey online.
Hope this helped! Let me know if you need any other information!
