How about them Buccaneers?! Finally, after 20 plus years as the NFL joke, SuperBowl bound!
Disclaimer: I am a baseball fan, but I will always root for the home team. Now, if only Lou Pienella can whip the Devil Rays into something!
OOOOOOH YEAH!!
They not only WON, they pretty much shut down the Eagles Offense, AND Defense. Despite a few errors, they played very well!
I've been a Bucs fan (and shed many tears) since the very first game (dating myself a little, I think).
The Bucs have broken many records these last few weeks. Not the least was the 'Cold Curse', but winning at "away" games, and it was a good touch to win at the very last game of Veterans Stadium (aka 'The Nest of Death'). The Eagles play in a new stadium next year.
Tonight was colder than the Champagne, IL game.
Win or lose on Superbowl Sunday, the Bucs are winners!
Yeah We suck bigtime! All the way to the Big Game!! :)
Wow, hours after the game, and I'm STILL pumped!
sigh, wish I didn't have a quiz in class tomorrow, -I'd have gone to the Elks lodge for the game
Ok, well, looks like the Raiders toppled the Titans. Its going to be a Bucs vs. Raiders game. Two figting names for two fighting teams.
Time for me to stock up on the antacids again (sigh) and get ready to thaw some meat and refill the charcoal bin. Fire up the grill!
Superbowl.

GO BUCS!
It's funny. During the Bucs dark days when Green Bay came to town there were more Green Bay fans here than Bucs.
(Same way with the baseball team. The only sellout the poor Devil Rays get is when the Yankees come to town.)
That's what's it's like living among of lot of Northern transplants.
Go Bucs!
Flowerchild- I know how you feel. I can't wait to buy a few copies of the paper tomorrow!!! History. History, has been made!
Remember when TV studios and Radio stations would buy extra tickets just to provide a sell-out, so that we could watch 'em on TV? I remember using an old 8' analog dish so I could watch the Bucs play on satellite being broadcast to the other teams' hometown.
sigh.
Used to always get the Bucs / Greenbay ticket though, loved watching the game. :) Then I couldnt afford to see the Bucs unless I purchased nose-bleed in the end-zone tickets (not worth it, at that point).
