Hi guys i need your suggestions on this, my wife recently passed the recent board exam given by PRC last June2008, in this regard shes asking the step to take in going for an RN in British Columbia, Vancouver. What are the requirements so she can have her papers assessed.
hi everyone, i also received a sec letter from crnbc. well i'm not really that surprised because my friends who first applied also received a sec letter. we encounter each other in an agency that recruits nurses for canada (british columbia) the agency told us the steps to be able to become eligible to take the crne. that agency is very strict because they only accept nurses who already passed the ielts and with at least one year of work experience. i have only one year of work experience but my friends have so many years of experience, some of them are presently working (mostly in philippine general hospital) and most of them have a work experience abroad and still they are required to complete the sec assessment. the first batch in our agency is so lucky because they applied september last year and they got eligible to take the crne. nevertheless, the second batch where i belong received a sec letter. i think that it is really in the transcript if one should be required to take a sec assessment. crnbc noted in there website that: "as of december 8, 2008, if crnbc is unable to assess your application alone, you will be required to undertake a substantially equivalent competency assessment to determine if you meet educational and competency requirements."
hi!! i would like to know the name of your agency.could you please pm me the contact info.i would appreciate your reply.
About the SEC assessment in BC..has anyone of you received the "SEC-Assessment" - Candidate Self-Assessment" form yet?If there are people out there...pls. let's help each other out, because I have no idea what kind of "evidences" they want from us...
Thanks.
They havent sent me that SEC Assessment Candidate Self-Assessment form yet. Now, what is that? They sure cant stop thinking of ways to make our application more complicated.
hi AD2008, its a form that has to be completed by us..you have provide "evidences" that you possess certain standards...it has to be submitted on the first day of the assessment.
I just emailed Ms. Desire and asked a few (well, plenty) questions with regards to it.
You'll receive the form once you confirmed a fixed date with KPU.
Hi! I just want to know where you bought all the books. And if anyone can suggest a really good review material. Thanks!
Hi pvs17,I actually have all the CRNE review books, so I'm trying my very best (very best) to actually read them all. In particular, I have the 2 Mosby editions, the Lipincott edition and the CNA edition.
I live in Makati, what about you?
Hi! I just want to know where you bought all the books. And if anyone can suggest a really good review material. Thanks!
Hi! I bought the 2 mosby books and 1 lippincott edition from the amazon.ca website. And I bought the CNA edition from CNA themselves...
Every book is good, but I guess the best book is the CNA one, because of course, no one knows the exam best than the people who make the exam themselves...
Are those the only review materials available in the market? Did you take the exam already? How long did you study? Is there an online review for CRNE? Thanks!
As far as I know, that's all there is, but I haven't been updated since December last year. I haven't taken the exam yet, but I am taking the SEC on August at BC. I only just started to study this month, and am still studying...
Yes there is an online review, just check the CNA website for more details...I think it cost 40+ CAD, and you can only do it once, I think
