Hi guys i need your suggestions on this, my wife recently passed the recent board exam given by PRC last June2008, in this regard shes asking the step to take in going for an RN in British Columbia, Vancouver. What are the requirements so she can have her papers assessed.
i was told 6 weeks before SEC results are released to CRNBC. i dont think you will get a copy of the result. I think CRNBC will inform you whether you are eligible to take the CRNE (meaning you passed the SEC) or you have to take another step (meaning you failed or did not meet the standards).
hi pvs17,
I already confirmed that I'd be taking the SEC. But I'd be taking it by August this year. I'm already studying right now, so that I'd be ready to battle once I get there...
I sent my confirmation around the 1st week of April, and I was sent an email by Kwanthlen U. just last week. And they asked me what convinient date I would like to take my SEC.
So far that's all that I can share...
If you really dream of working/living in another country, there will always be a way. It only boils down to you if you think all the effort, time, and money is worth it...

Hi ikang_714,
From what country are you? How are you preparing for the SEC?

Yes Although LPN is acceptable for a work permit in Canada to register with the province and meet their requirements a license from where you trained is required. As Fiona mentioned there was an issue some time ago with some nurses from the Philippines and likelihood of that happening again is going to be minimal. If you really want to work in another country then you need to meet that country's requirements and if that means some sort of assessment then you will have to do it.
