Hi I am currently in a temporary position in Alberta, which ends Mar 2022 and I do not like the position. I want to leave earlier and go back to my permanent position which is being held for me while I finish the temp job. Do I give a 2 week or 28 day notice? or is it mandatory for me to complete the temp position?

Hi I am currently on maternity leave. I was wondering if it is allowed or possible to apply for another nursing job while on maternity leave, and resign from my current job. I will give two weeks notice, but do I have to work the two weeks or just informing my employer in advance that I am leaving, adequate?
