Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

I know! I wonder how long they will take to make decisions. My application hasn’t been updated since scheduling my interview.

MedSurg. I did hear back with an offer from HR about a week ago. I guess each department takes their own time?

Possibly hopefully I hear something back soon even if it’s a rejection letter.
