Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

Is this your experience w all locations or just the Baylor St. Luke’s location? I’m wondering if anyone applying to community hospitals has heard back yet as the recruiter said it could be this week.

Will anyone be signing up for Memorial Hermann pre-match day scheduled for May 11th? We can start signing up on May 1st, but I guess it’s never too early to plan ahead. ?

And the actual applications will open on May 19.
