Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

I didn’t even get invited to pre-screening for Methodist, but my suspicion is your ATI or HESI exit exam scores. I’m at UTMB and we took our exit/predictor exam about a week and a half ago

I’m sure they mean this. It shows your probability of passing NCLEX.

I think CHI St. Luke’s was a general email as not a specific hospital in the system.

They sent a sign up genius for interviews on the 9th.

I haven’t heard from TCH. She said April. ??‍♀️

I received a verbal offer as well from MH TMC but no written offer sent yet. It'll be a week today; getting a bit worried. I wonder if anyone else has received a written offer from MH yet.
