Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.
I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

Just trying to clarify: do you mean applied to as in interviewed with and are they calling everyone to see if you’ve gotten an offer? I know on the handout the gave out at the start of the hiring event said we would be contacted IF we got a job offer and if we didn’t hear within 15 days we didn’t receive an offer.
Just trying to make sure I have everything straight

That's interesting. How does that work? Like how do they have access to our applications from a different hospital/healthcare system. I thought the applications were all confidential.

At HCA there are 18 hospitals in Houston. You were able to interview at up to 4. I’m sure she means those hospitals in the HCA system.

That’s what I’m getting from it ! The recruiter asked me if I used all my tickets and which are the 4 hospitals i interviewed with. Then she looked them up and checked each hospital and told me if i had offers or not.

I’m sorry I meant through HCA alone ! We had 4 opportunities to interview from their 18 hospitals ?

That’s interesting. I’m not sure if I’d prefer them doing it this way or the way they said they would at the hiring event. Really at this point I just want to know if I have a job or not ?
