Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

Has anyone been invited to match day for MH Pearland?

Got a match day email for ortho/trauma MH-TMC but didn't attend pre-match day because of scheduling conflicts. Can anybody explain some of the info they gave on that day for this unit specifically?

I am still waiting but I heard of people hearing back for general pediatrics yesterday and NICU on Wednesday

I heard back from Children’s MH yesterday for general peds and have an interview on Monday! I also heard back from HCA for their Match Day on Wednesday as well as Harris Health for their information session on Wednesday.

@mtd015 have you heard anything about people hearing from MH children’s L&D?

So I’m assuming if we applied to general pediatric and haven’t heard by now we didn’t get a match?
