Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.
I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

So hundreds maybe even more are applying to the same jobs. I understand why they would want to limit people. Sucks, but I get it. They shouldn't have written you'd get an opportunity though if they weren't going to let you.
HM have interviewed 700 people at the pre-screening event. I asked a nurse at the end of the event

If you have filled an assessment out for Houston Methodist within 3 years they will not send you another link because they will already have one on file.
