Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2022

Hey everyone! I saw that there was a residency thread for Spring but not for Summer 2022. I graduate in March 2022 and I believe a lot of the Summer cohorts begin in June/July. I plan to move to Houston once I've written my NCLEX! Where is everyone considering applying? I am looking at Houston Methodist, Memorial Hermann, MD Anderson Cancer Center and St Lukes. I would also prefer to be at hospitals specifically in the sugar land area so I hope when the time comes theyll have the units I want in certain locations. I would like to be in the PACU! Is there anyone else that wants to work in the PACU as well?

Hi y'all!

I heard back from a recruiter at Texas Children's on Friday, he just went over my information on my application and then asked my top three unit choices and location preference. I didn't ask when they'd be having interviews so if anyone asked please lmk!!

Hi, do you remember when you applied? I applied almost two weeks ago and haven't heard back from them so I'm kinda nervous LOL

I applied Jan 27! im wondering if theyre just doing like a rolling basis thing, IDK I cant find a past thread that gives me a good timeline because it seems different than the past! like usually its like a week or so long for the application to be open but I read that it closes sometime in early march

I applied Jan 28, my application says "under review" as of 2/3, I am also a current employee

interesting! I applied Jan 24th and still nothing. I guess I'll have to wait and see?

Has anyone heard from St. Luke's yet? They have no deadline posted nor any email communication to ask?

I applied in January and my application just says under review. They were one of the first to open so I'm hoping we hear something soon!
