Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2022

Hey everyone! I saw that there was a residency thread for Spring but not for Summer 2022. I graduate in March 2022 and I believe a lot of the Summer cohorts begin in June/July. I plan to move to Houston once I've written my NCLEX! Where is everyone considering applying? I am looking at Houston Methodist, Memorial Hermann, MD Anderson Cancer Center and St Lukes. I would also prefer to be at hospitals specifically in the sugar land area so I hope when the time comes theyll have the units I want in certain locations. I would like to be in the PACU! Is there anyone else that wants to work in the PACU as well?

Is there anyone who accepted an offer with St. Luke’s Sugarland Residency Program?

Yesterday, I interviewed and received an offer from MD Anderson. Now I have to choose between Heart Failure IMU at Memorial Hermann TMC or PICU at MD Anderson TMC... any advice? I'm leaning towards MD Anderson. Also, has anyone else interviewed/accepted an offer with MD Anderson?

Hey hey, congrats!! Both are going to be incredible learning opportunities. I say PICU for sure but you can't go wrong with either

Has anyone else been in like radio silence since accepting their offer? It's too quiet, I need an email or something with some onboarding steps to calm my nerves...

For people that accepted Memorial Hermann job offers, after you signed the offer letter, did anyone contact you about starting the background check and starting that process on the New Hire Checklist?

My unit told me I wouldn’t start that process until may
