Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2022

Hey everyone! I saw that there was a residency thread for Spring but not for Summer 2022. I graduate in March 2022 and I believe a lot of the Summer cohorts begin in June/July. I plan to move to Houston once I've written my NCLEX! Where is everyone considering applying? I am looking at Houston Methodist, Memorial Hermann, MD Anderson Cancer Center and St Lukes. I would also prefer to be at hospitals specifically in the sugar land area so I hope when the time comes theyll have the units I want in certain locations. I would like to be in the PACU! Is there anyone else that wants to work in the PACU as well?

Has anyone had an ER interview at memorial hermann?

The management team had mentioned it as part of their screening process. Otherwise, I'm not sure if they would've allowed me to just show up before an offer was made to me. However, I think it is a great question to ask your recruiter to see if there are any similar opportunities! ?

Have you done the second interview?

Well for me I didn’t get invited to unit interview, my status still under review with expecting a call from the recruiter. I emailed them twice but sadly no response.

I'm an internal applicant with Memorial Hermann and never got called for an interview. My director and I had to email the recruiter multiple times for me to get an interview. The unit I interviewed with was not my first choice, but I am still very pumped. Anyway, literally 20 minutes after my interview I got an offer. Don't give up!! Keep emailing and use all of the resources that are available to you! I'll be in the heart failure IMU at MH TMC.

Here’s where I’m at- I interviewed w neuro ICU at mem Hermann TMC on Monday of last week and have not heard anything back since. I also did the prescreening with houston Methodist & received that email last Thursday and Friday saying I would get email to schedule interview soon but then I never did. Anyone else like this? Im kinda worried
