Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2022

Hey everyone! I saw that there was a residency thread for Spring but not for Summer 2022. I graduate in March 2022 and I believe a lot of the Summer cohorts begin in June/July. I plan to move to Houston once I've written my NCLEX! Where is everyone considering applying? I am looking at Houston Methodist, Memorial Hermann, MD Anderson Cancer Center and St Lukes. I would also prefer to be at hospitals specifically in the sugar land area so I hope when the time comes theyll have the units I want in certain locations. I would like to be in the PACU! Is there anyone else that wants to work in the PACU as well?

has anyone else accepted an offer for Methodist's OR Residency?

Has anyone gotten a time scheduled for their HM TMC interview this week? I got the invite with very broad time frame and I emailed them back but they haven’t come back to me about a confirmation. ?

I haven't. At this point I'm moving on to the next hospital. The no response thing is giving me a red flag already especially if you said one date and don't respond to questions.

I heard back from HM TMC today. It was a second email with a specific time and date. First one was just general times with four different days listed.

Has anyone reached out/heard from HM or MH for Katy with offers? Or even has an estimated time frame we should be expecting to hear back?

I got my rejection letter email yesterday from MH Katy. They are now starting their second “match week”

I got rejected from my first choice, L&D. The second “match week” is to do interviews for people who didn’t get an offer from first choice.

Hi yall! I just got my offer for the Medical ICU at Memorial City Memorial Hermann! I had my shadow day yesterday on the unit which I think was a great idea of the hospital to do since I am coming from out of state. I was able to get a glimpse of the unit, meet staff, management...etc. Good luck everyone! ?

@Lisa Cadena how did you go about getting to shadow? I am out of state as well and I would love to do this. I’m at childrens MH
