Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2022

Published

Hey everyone! I saw that there was a residency thread for Spring but not for Summer 2022. I graduate in March 2022 and I believe a lot of the Summer cohorts begin in June/July. I plan to move to Houston once I've written my NCLEX! Where is everyone considering applying? I am looking at Houston Methodist, Memorial Hermann, MD Anderson Cancer Center and St Lukes. I would also prefer to be at hospitals specifically in the sugar land area so I hope when the time comes theyll have the units I want in certain locations. I would like to be in the PACU! Is there anyone else that wants to work in the PACU as well?

Has anyone heard back from memorial hermann (memorial city or tmc) or Methodist (tmc)!? Starting to freak out cause I haven’t heard anything from anyone. I applied for surgical services for both hospitals

Thank you! Initially, they told me I have 48 hrs to accept but I told them I'm still waiting on other hospitals so for now they're writing that down under my name but im not sure bc I may need to do another interview/possibly be able to pick up where I left off if there's still some spots left for that particular cohort.

and congrats to you as well!! are you going to accept the offer?

I just got an email with more info about the offer! I got into mom/baby as well and I think I'm going to email them back and ask for an extension too so I can interview for other places LOL

Does anybody know how much Hca pays for new grads?

Anyone who’s heard back from Methodist, when did you receive correspondence?

$29.50/hr

@Wubchub yay!! is it for the April or July cohort??

Hey guys! I applied for Memorial Hermann, Houston Methodist and HCA this week! I haven't heard anything yet but I'm not sure how quick I am supposed to be hearing from them....On my Memorial Hermann app, it says that the 2 choices that I placed (Memorial city and Childrens) has "application received" but for the general nurse residency application it shows "no longer under consideration". Is this normal or does that mean I'm no longer considered for any of the positions I applied for? I haven't heard/seen anything from MH nor HCA. Could use  a little insight from those who have heard back! Thanks yall!
