I’m not sure but I would keep checking because I just got an email from our nurse educators that there would be a virtual meeting to meet the other people in the nurse residency group for MDA. I was hired in March, graduated in May, and began working at MDA as a new grad nurse in July. I haven’t had any residency classes yet bc I was told there weren’t new grad hires to make a group but now that I’ve been notified of a residency group, I’m guessing there are enough of us. There were 8 people in the email invite total, including the educators, so I’m guessing there may be 5 or so new grads in the whole residency group this time.

But, I do take it as a sign that they are starting to considering opening up for the next round. I could be wrong but that’s my speculation.

What units did they hire if you don’t mind me asking? And did you apply for the “clinical nurse residency” position or just a normal “clinical nurse” position? And did you happen to have connections to get a position at MDA? My application before COVID started was “under recruiter review” but because of COVID, they dismissed my application. I graduated this April and I remember sending my application on Feb/March.

Has anyone received the GN Packet Checklist yet? I applied and received an email that they will review in application but I wasn't sure if I needed to email to request for the GN Packet?

I haven't received it yet. I emailed the GN email but no one has responded. Will keep you updated.

side note: does anyone know if St. Luke's has pediatric units?

the only hospitals I can think of that have peds are Children's Memorial and TCH..just wondering if any other big name hospitals have them. not necessarily to hire new grads.

Hi, I got a job offer from St Luke’s, I interviewed in August 12. It was not the any of the units I asked for tho. Be on the lookout!

I got an offer from St. Luke’s as well for a unit I didn’t apply for. I won’t be accepting as I already accepted an ICU position elsewhere, so hopefully one of y’all can take my spot!
