Starting a thread about Houston Nurse Residency programs that open this month/next to start in June/July!

This year gotta be the most worse here to graduate. I know Houston is petty with hiring new grads but not as much as they are doing this year

Straight fax, we got screwed so hard

Not only are new grads competing with each other....so many hospitals had to cut hours... so experienced nurses are also competing for those positions. It has definitely been challenging!

You are right about that; I just don’t know when all this will end. First I didn’t have graduation, then no job LOL. Like kill me now ?

Is memorial Herman gonna be doing any residency for Fall? And when does the application open?

Memorial Herman apps were open back in May for the October cohort. I think they ended up taking very few people for the amount of units hiring because everyone I know didn’t get an offer.

I feel so useless chilling at home doing nothing cause I moved down here and quit my old job ??. Now I am in a new environment jobless with a license I can’t believe it LOL

Applications open up in September for the Winter cohort starting in January/February for Methodist for certain. I can only assume the others are around the same time.

Anyone with ADN got an offer? Is it even worth applying with ADN?

Has anyone who graduated in August received there authorization to test? I haven't received mine yet. I was wondering how long it usually takes???
