Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2020

Starting a thread about Houston Nurse Residency programs that open this month/next to start in June/July!

So far on my list I have CHI St. Luke's (already in the process with them), I think I just barely missed the deadline for Methodist, HCA sucks but they're on my list even though I still haven't heard back from them about the Summer cohort, umm TX Children's (not open yet), MD Anderson (not open yet?), and Harris Health (not open yet?) Hey guys, for those in the Summer residency program I had a question for y’all! What materials did u need if anything and is there a code for the scrubs that we have to wear a certain color!

It just depends on what hospital you are at. Each hospital usually has a a certain color They want you to wear!

Yeah I have a friend at each of the TCH campuses and they all say they are still on a hiring freeze ? UTMB has a fall residency too!

I emailed the HCA recruiters about an update and they just sent one! IDK if yall saw or not! Not a whole lot of an update but its something LOL

Yeah it really depends. Each hospital and each unit is different. For example, obs is grey and ED is black. If I had to guess I would think that med surg floors are blue/navy But I do not know for sure!

This is at the woodlands campus (the colors for obs and ED that I mentioned) by the way!
