Houston Nurse Residency: Spring 2023

Hello all! I wanted to start this thread for students graduating in December of 2022. I plan on specializing in either Pediatrics, L&D, or Postpartum! What field do yall plan to go into and where are yall interested in working?  I know that applications for some organizations will be opening up soon. Hopefully with this thread, we can keep each other informed and up to date. So far, I am aware that the Houston Methodist application opens on September 1st, and Memorial Hermann opens on September 11th.

Hi, did you or anyone else attend the information session for Harris Health? I just submitted my application this week. I selected both Lyndon B. Johnson and Ben Taub in my preferences section, but I noticed Ben Taub has many postings for Nurse Clinician Is in various departments, which seem to be for new grads with no experience but there's no mention of a residency program.

anyone is familiar with the TCH process? Do they let you know if you are denied especially after an interview?

Same here! I haven't heard anything either. Do you know anyone that has? Also, what unit did you interview for?

I haven't heard back either. I interviewed with acute care on 09/20. I am hoping tomorrow they will be making calls!

I know a few people who have accepted offers from L&D, PICU, CVICU, adult congenital heart, and OR but none from NICU
