Hello all! I wanted to start this thread for students graduating in December of 2022. I plan on specializing in either Pediatrics, L&D, or Postpartum! What field do yall plan to go into and where are yall interested in working? I know that applications for some organizations will be opening up soon. Hopefully with this thread, we can keep each other informed and up to date. So far, I am aware that the Houston Methodist application opens on September 1st, and Memorial Hermann opens on September 11th.

I interviewed almost a week ago and has not heard anything. I heard that the portal is one of the last places to update so I have not been checking that. Mine says "under review." I don't know what to think or feel. I don't know if TCH really cares to let you know if you aren't selected or offered anything or they just leave you without a call for you to come to the conclusion you should move on? not sure. Does anyone know?
edit: however, I do not know anyone who heard anything today including myself.
I was able to get a rejection email from ACHD but I stayed in touch with the managers on my interview and the recruiter when I didn't hear back by the deadline they provided - I was really persistent with communication.

Hi! My biggest tip is try to get into the NICU for hands-on experience and highlight that on your resume/interview! Even if it is just one time during a clinical rotation, so that they know you’ve seen what the NICU is actually like. When I interviewed, they told me that I would be placed on NICU 2,3, or 4 based on how my interview went and the needs of the units, but they did ask me my preference which is what I ultimately got.

I would express how much you care for the infant population. It also helps to recognize that as a NICU nurse you are also being a support for the parents going throught that difficult time. Just have confidence that you got this!!

I did get an automated email today saying "your application has been submitted" and that it's under review for my first choice unit - but they stated somewhere that they'll contact you a week before they start interviewing to move forward, so that's what I'm waiting on!
Also, I received an offer letter for St. Luke's Woodlands campus today!! Has anyone else heard back?

My original application was split into 2 for my first and second choice and then there's a third application that says "[Unit Name] - NRP." They said on their webinars that they will be processing applications through 10/7 and will begin reaching out via phone/email/text to schedule interviews on the week of 10/10. They said sometimes their calls to schedule interviews or fix mistakes on applications go to spam so they suggested turning off spam block. Their first match week will be 10/17 through 10/21.

Awe man, I interviewed for Adult Congenital Heart and did not hear anything back. I guess I took myself out of the running because I was honest with preferring days. Oh whale.
