Houston Nurse Residency: Spring 2023

Hello all! I wanted to start this thread for students graduating in December of 2022. I plan on specializing in either Pediatrics, L&D, or Postpartum! What field do yall plan to go into and where are yall interested in working?  I know that applications for some organizations will be opening up soon. Hopefully with this thread, we can keep each other informed and up to date. So far, I am aware that the Houston Methodist application opens on September 1st, and Memorial Hermann opens on September 11th.

I got an email Friday to schedule an interview with MH The Woodlands. I also got one from St Lukes (also the woodlands) a few weeks ago for medsurg. I asked the recruiter if that's all they're hiring for and she said that it is.

Same! They said we would hear back by the weekend after that interview but I haven’t received anything.

Haven't heard back from MH either. St. Luke's The Woodlands already had their first round interviews, and will be doing second round interviews next week

I got an email tonight to set up an interview with MH childrens

I heard back this past Friday from MH for an interview on the Heart Failure ICU at TMC.

Hi guys! Has anyone heard back from Memorial Hermann TMC regarding the CVICU Nurse Residency or the Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital TMC Nurse Residency?

Hi! I heard back for an interview for the heart failure ICU at TMC. They also sent out an email today regarding CVICU at TMC saying it was a competitive applicant pool and they could only take a certain amount of people.

Thanks for responding! I did not receive that email and CVICU is my number one. I thought they were doing interviews next week so I didn't know they already accepted a certain amount of people. Do you mind sharing with me the email address that informed you about the CVICU?

Sure no problem! Same CVICU was my

first choice too but they gave me HFICU instead which I’m still grateful for but I understand how you’re feeling. Also, the email came from Madison Campbell! [email protected]

HFICU sounds awesome. Transplant ICU was my second choice. I am just concerned because I have not received any emails at all regarding Memorial Hermann TMC. Thank you so much for all your help!

No problem! In her email, she did say they are still taking applicants for transplant ICU! I hope everything works out, best of luck!
