Houston Nurse Residency: Spring 2023

Hello all! I wanted to start this thread for students graduating in December of 2022. I plan on specializing in either Pediatrics, L&D, or Postpartum! What field do yall plan to go into and where are yall interested in working?  I know that applications for some organizations will be opening up soon. Hopefully with this thread, we can keep each other informed and up to date. So far, I am aware that the Houston Methodist application opens on September 1st, and Memorial Hermann opens on September 11th.

Does anyone else have 3 MH active applications? I applied once and that changed into 2 active applications (1st and 2nd choice) on the 12th. Today another one was added with my first choice specialty, so 3 total. I haven't heard from anyone directly though.

It was very quick! I had a TMC pre screen, they had an ED pre screen for TMC as well. They said interviews will be done 9/28-9/30 and should be hearing back by this upcoming Monday or Tuesday.

Anyone who interviewed for TCH PICU night shift hearing back? People who interviewed and asked for day shift has been receiving offers.

Classmate of mine got an offer for TCH NICU yesterday. 
 

anyone is familiar with the TCH process? Do they let you know if you are denied especially after an interview?

What campus was the NICU offer from?

I also received an email to interview at St. Luke's in the Woodlands, and it said they're only hiring for medsurg. I was hoping for ICU or tele, maybe it's bc I applied later? Anyone have any insight if they usually only hire new grads into medsurg, or if there will be a chance to interview for other floors?

I literally applied the MINUTE the application opened and I received the interview for Medsurg. So I emailed the recruiter and she said that’s what they are hiring for right now. Which is crazy seeing how big st Luke’s is and how many hospitals they have

Soo some people have been hearing from their units literally the same day. While some heard the next day and then some people are still waiting. I thought they said decisions are going out all at once but it’s very much.. here and there. Not sure what to believe or think.
