Houston Nurse Residency spring 2020

Published

Hi just starting a thread for Houston people looking for new graduate jobs starting in February 2020. Good luck to everyone!!

For those who got an HCA recruiter call; do they ask you extensive questions or what do they typically say for these calls? I'm a ball of nervous wreck.

Thanks friends!

I got one a few weeks ago and it wasn’t interview type questions at all. They basically just asked if I was still interested and which departments I was interested in and why. She set up a few interviews for me, but it seems like the ones she sent me to are for departments who didn’t want to hire a new grad and nothing has come of them.

Has anyone gotten an offer from Ben Taub yet? The HR lady said they usually reply within 24 hours and I’m wondering whether it’s worth worrying.

I went yesterday and received a job offer. I sent a thank you email to the people who hired me and one of them said I should be expecting to hear from Human Resources early next week.

Specializes in Psychiatric nurse.

Congrats! What unit, might I ask?

Specializes in Pediatrics.

I know I asked this before, but just in case anyone missed it, has anyone else accepted an offer for Texas Children’s cancer center?

@MakingTheRoundsThis is off subject but, congrats on getting accepted to the TCH oncology dept! I did clinicals there in hem/once and I absolutely loved it! Way to go!

Thank you so much! I’m so excited. Pedi oncology is my dream job.

Hey guys, has anyone interviewed for MD Anderson? I applied a while ago, but I'm confused if they ever asked what unit it was for.

Is there anywhere in the application where we had to put what unit we were interested in? I don't remember if it asked.. I was wanting pediatrics
