Houston HCA StaRN Spring 2018

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to start a thread for anyone who has applied for the HCA StaRN new graduate residency in Houston for Spring 2018. I know there are a few of us that have been wondering when they were starting to call applicants. Please feel free to share any information regarding the residency program, application status, etc.. I am sure we are all eager to hear something. Best of luck to all applicants!

Do you all have a BSN or ADN? My friend has her ADN and they told her the hiring event is for BSN ONLY..

is anyone aware of what the process will be like? like... how the interviews will work?

I have no idea how the process goes....I guess i'll just show up with my resumes and hope for the best! And as for ADN vs BSN, i'm also not sure. I'm graduating with my BSN in december.

I have bsn. Some applications said bsn applicants only. Maybe the adn applicants have a different day

What hospital did you apply to? Is the hiring day for all hoapitals. I applied to 3 hca locations so idk what the interview is for.

The staRN application is for all their hospital locations, I believe you only fill it out once. I put Conroe Regional and Tomball Regional as my top two choices.

This is true. I called the recruiter about it. All 400 BSN applicants will be interviewed before any ADNs....600 applicants total. Didn't sound to hopeful for ADNs. She said I'd have much better luck looking south, Corpus, the valley, etc.

yeah it seems like its harder to find a job for ADNS. Hopefully something will come up soon after interviews are over.

Does anyone know like how the interview process works? will it be like getting in lines? or do you think they already picked our resumes out for certain units?
