Hey there! I submitted my application in early March. My GPA for ADN is 3.5 and BSN was 4.0. I haven't heard back from the program yet. I have just over two years experience. Really anxious to hear back!

I got an offer a while back for clear lake general surgery! Anyone else? Wanting to meet some people. :)

This is true. I called the recruiter about it. All 400 BSN applicants will be interviewed before any ADNs....600 applicants total. Didn't sound to hopeful for ADNs. She said I'd have much better luck looking south, Corpus, the valley, etc.

I can definitely agree with you on that one. Being an ADN, nobody is interviewing us until they've interviewed all of the BSN applicants. Yay

When HCA came to my school to talk to us about applying for the StaRN program they mentioned that they won't be making calls until early/middle November. I'm not stressing TOO much, but still hoping to hear back soon. :)

THIS is exactly what happened to me! I put my application in the hour it opened. Went to pre-match day and put TMC as my first choice and realized I couldn't do that. I spoke to HR and they said it wouldn't matter and I was okay. Then come to find out, I'm almost 100% positive thats the reason I never got a call back. I hate hate hate that. Most people from my class got a call to attend match day, and I was one of the very few who didn't. I have great grades and lots of service experience. I just don't understand. I get if I didn't make the qualifications. But I feel as if I was very qualified. Time to move on, like you said! I wish the best for everybody :)

I got a call back this week for the College Station/Bryan location saying they weren't taking any new grads for this cohort. Anyone else receive this?

I've spoken to a nurse manager at a level 1 trauma center that hires for the residency program before about how I should go about applying. She said when she gets a new grad who applies straight into the critical care she automatically throws the application away because it's not reality. She would rather have someone say they will start at med-surg then wanting to advance. I'm not saying its not possible, I'm just saying what she said. If I personally wanted to do any sort of critical care, I would start off as Med-Surg anyways since being a new grad is tough. That is just what I was told and I'm just trying to help here! Not trying to push any buttons.

Can you give me some insight on the interview questions? I got an email today saying they wanted me to do the video interview! I'm nervous!! I haven't done a recorded interview before. Thank you for any advice!

When did y'all apply? The head of the residency program came & talked to us at clinical and said they reviewed applications by when they were were applied. I applied like as SOON as it opened and mine still says "applied" ☹️
