Is there anyone planning to apply for the Fall 2014 ADN program at HCC Coleman??

I got that one, too. Haven't gotten too deep into it yet though.

Have y'all done a lot of e-dose yet? Our teacher was concerned with HCC selling expired licenses and then also those that bought online versions had different material. What a mess. I bought mine from West Loop book store and I'm afraid to open it because if it's expired then the material might be different that the test at the end.

when the teacher had the student log in, her screen looked exactly like my screen as well.

So if you bought yours off the bookstore, I recommend to just buy it online. It's cheaper too (one year is $55 online)

Hello everyone!

I am just joining the thread after reading everyone's post! I too applied for the fall 2014 semester, but I am in the stack of applications that need to take the edose test since I took pharm elsewhere. I have been studying from the edose program that we had to buy, but does anyone know how far into the dosage calculations will we go. Also for those that just need to take the edose test ,does anyone know when we will be notified for the exam?

Sorry I don't know if anyone has answered you. I have no clue really. In our class- Our Edose math exam is June 24th I think.

I was was thinking that we should all form a study group but I know jobs can get in the way. But if it's something that we could all do, it'd be great! Even with people from the other classes could join since we practically have the exact same format. Haha

That is crazy that we are on this site and then sitting right next to each other! I haven't met Ebony either.

If someone put together a group - I might be able to but I just don't know. I've got 3 kids and work part time. Plus they are getting out for school in less than 2 weeks! Ugh. But I have a super supportive husband and I work from home - so it's possible I could make it work. And lord knows I need extra help understanding all this.

What's your strategy for studying the test coming up? Are you a flash card kind of person? Are you going to stick with what she said to study and read power points again?

I understand. Going to school and going to class is super stressful!!

I like to mix it up, I use a combination of flash cards and I make sure to study the notes I jotted down from lecture. Flash cards really helped me when it came to remembering the abbreviations though! Such as SL for sublingual and common conversions such as 1 cup = 8oz = 240 mL. 8) I'd recommend flash cards for those the most.

I think that is really cutting it close to the start day, especially if you do not pass it! I think I am going to call again the first week of June and maybe I will be told something else. Not sure, just seems CRAZY!!

Sorry to hear that. From what I've seen from other students, it looks like you really gotta be on top of hcc administration to know whether they need anything from you for the program. Just keep calling and make sure to stay updated because sometimes they'll tell me that they will call me for updates but in the end it is always me who calls for any updates. Hahaha. I wish you the best!

Berryberries, you better believe I will be on them! I will call and go to the school and pay the high parking fee! I just want answers and just tell me what I need to do! Sometimes it can be frustrating, but it will pay off! I feel like even calling next week, but, being the holiday on monday, maybe I will try my luck on wednesday or just go with my original plan and either call or go up to the school the first week of June
