Have y'all requested your background check from BON?

how do you go about requesting the background check from BON? Do you know the avg time it takes to be completed.

I just found out we don't do anything. We wait for an email from the dept. with instructions to get something called Fastpass- to order fingerprints and blue card. They are the ones that are ordering our background search. She said that they've already been ordered for everyone- 164 students!

Does that mean everyone in Pharm class? I wonder if that means if you pass pharm & you pass the background check, that you will get accepted into the program......based on availability.

I went to the Nursing seminar (the ER session) and they said that they send you all that information after you pass Pharmacology. They said they'd do it pretty quick, within 2 weeks. I'll wait but if they don't tell me anything I'm going to call them every day! hahaha lol.

It sounded like she was expecting results of background search within 10-14 days then everyone would get email on how to do fingerprinting and get blue card, etc. Then instructions for everything else would come near the end of pharm once they see your probably passing.

I heard that even if you pass pharmacology class, it does not guarantee that you will get in. That would be suck... Any info on that??

I'm not sure. I guess it depends on how many spots they have to fill. You know not all 164 people in pharm are gonna pass. Sad but true! (That's Not us though, right!!)

how far is everyone btw? I'm still on Chapter 9. But I've been doing eDose as well!

Ok more questions- have y'all done flu shot? I didn't do one this past fall. And of course no one has them in the summer. What in the heck am I gonna do? Guess I'll be calling that poor lady back in the nursing office!

And on this beautiful Saturday- I'm getting ready to start my drug card project. Yippee!

i did the flu shot in Jan, but I suppose they will require another, for the new flu season.
