Is there anyone planning to apply for the Fall 2014 ADN program at HCC Coleman??

Hello everyone!

I am just joining the thread after reading everyone's post! I too applied for the fall 2014 semester, but I am in the stack of applications that need to take the edose test since I took pharm elsewhere. I have been studying from the edose program that we had to buy, but does anyone know how far into the dosage calculations will we go. Also for those that just need to take the edose test ,does anyone know when we will be notified for the exam?

I'm pretty sure it'll be over the math we were doing! I got my dosages and calculations book in the mail, so I'm happy to get a bunch of practice done!

On the drug card- is #6 synthesis- just the filling out of the drug card? Or does it mean do something else? I emailed her but she didn't reply yet.

Thats correct. 6 is just the drug card.

If you're in the Tuesday/Wednesday 9-12 class, the questions from today's quiz are the NCLEX-RN Review questions found at the end of each chapter. Answers are in the back of the book.

Once in the nursing program, do you we take classes over the summer? What is the expected graduation date, May 2016?

i got this one: Amazon.com: Calculate with Confidence, 5e (Morris, Calculate with Confidence) (9780323056298): Deborah C. Gray Morris RN BSN MA LNC: Books

It was one of the recommended books to get. and i really like it, it explains very well the calculations and it's chock-full of examples to practice on.

You don't need to get the 'new' edition, because they're almost exactly the same.

I got that one, too. Haven't gotten too deep into it yet though.

Have y'all done a lot of e-dose yet? Our teacher was concerned with HCC selling expired licenses and then also those that bought online versions had different material. What a mess. I bought mine from West Loop book store and I'm afraid to open it because if it's expired then the material might be different that the test at the end.

I bought the one from West Loop, the day class started. I already opened it, and it is a bit odd. Are you in TW class or WTH class?
