Anyone been accepted to HBU for 2014? Or anyone know what to except?

I hope so...I really appreciate the encouragement!!

My stats are:

Overall GPA :3.3

Science GPA :3.5

HESI average :85

They had me sign for the alternate spot and gave a list of things to start working on...I'm going to get started just in case.

I did wait until the last week to apply before the deadline, so if I have to reapply I'm going to it much earlier lol!

what school did you do your prereqs at?? Yess.. i need to start working on my stuff too. But im still waiting to hear back from prairie view. I would LOVE LOVE to go to hbu & im soo happy i got accepted, but omg its sooo EXPENSIVEEEE!!! im debating :/

There WILL be people who do not accept because they go somewhere else, or for whatever reason, so stay hopeful!

wow! your good! lol Congrats on your acceptance! .. ah good thing you know girls that go there .. that way they can deff. help you out!! how do you like that school ??? have the girls that are already in the program give you any details??

Yea we are pretty close but I think I waited way too late to apply...maybe 2 days before the deadline date! I'm definitely going to apply to PV next semester. They are a great school and not as expensive. My friend graduated from there with a great job and left behind some of her books. I have already started reading them lol

I think either school is still great...do you know the program length at HBU? I heard it takes a little longer with those extra classes they require (theology, New Testament, etc) i took all my pre reqs at LSC.

Your stats are great! I'm sure your going to do fine in the program. I had a friend that already gave her spot up for UTHSC. She loved the 15 month graduation date...I don't blame her but I'm sure HBU will still be worth the time.

hmm..maybe thats why then. Well i believe 2 years.. but yes you are right about the extra classes.. idk when in the world i would have time to fit in those christianity courses!! ah :/ so i guess it will be a little longer.. unless you take them during the summer or squeeze them into your semester??

The reviews are bad! I am scared too but excited as well. Although I got a 90% on my Hesi, I didn't get the 75 on A&P which took away lots of options. I prayed for HBU to take me...I was overjoyed when I got the email. Responded right way...lets see what a head.

Have you heard from the school to confirm your spot yet? Praying for you, I hate the waiting phase. Do you know how long HBU program takes?

No nothing yet! They told me emails would go out by the end of October....so we shall see.

The waiting can be the worse part but I'm sure it's going to be just fine. I'm not sure how long the program is maybe 2 years...but with the extra theology classes it may be longer. I think I'm more nervous about surviving the program than the waitlist. This is the easy part lol

I was wondering if you guys had any affordable places to get some of the blood titers and lab test done? I checked with Concentra and the Redi Clinic and the prices are not too bad. Also, what's the exact date to have all these done?

I was told to start getting all this ready but I'm so lost lol:dummy:

Also, does the nursing department run all applicants through the background check or do we have to find a company and cover fees ourselves? Thanks a bunch for any info you guys could lend. I know everyone is super busy!!!!!

Hey girl, yes you have to do the fingerprints and fbi background check yourself..then you will receieve a card saying yes you passed or whatnot then thats what you turn in to the school. you have to go to one of the fingerprints place... but you have to make an appointment.. there are different locations and you set up the app. online and you can pay it and then you just go up there and they take your picture and what not.. its really easy .. give me your email address and i will attach all the info u need.
