OMG!! YAY CONGRATSS!!! i also applied to prairie view & im waiting to hear back from them. Yes i accepted the offer. Im just worried bc of soo much that im reading on old discussions about how hard the school is and that they have a HIGH RATE of students that drop the program. BUT IM TRYING To STAY POSITIVEE!!! how about you?

I am new to this site and I also got accepted to hbu for spring 2014 I accepted but still waiting on ut and prairie view like others it worries me about the drop out rate and bad reviews about the school

My little cousin is about to graduate in December she said its hard and you do have to stay on top on your game and they are very strict I believe that if you are a determined person you will be ok

I have been waiting for someone to start a thread on hbu! I was chosen as an alternate but I'm going to remain positive:) I should know something in the next couple of weeks. Congrats to all those who received acceptance letters. This is a crazy journey!!!!

Hey GIRLIE! WELCOME.. yes remain positive! they only select i believe 10 alternates.. so if someone doesnt take their spot or chooses a diff. school your IN! what do your stats look like

I hope so...I really appreciate the encouragement!!

My stats are:

Overall GPA :3.3

Science GPA :3.5

HESI average :85

They had me sign for the alternate spot and gave a list of things to start working on...I'm going to get started just in case.

I did wait until the last week to apply before the deadline, so if I have to reapply I'm going to it much earlier lol!

Hey everyone!

Glad someone created this thread. I was accepted into the Spring 2014 semester! Woo! I am already a student there and I CANNOT wait to start. :nailbiting::cat: I know a few girls already in the program, they say it's hard, but it's Nursing School!

Is anyone a student there already?

There WILL be people who do not accept because they go somewhere else, or for whatever reason, so stay hopeful!
