Hello! There are a few threads floating around regarding applications to Houston GN/Nurse Residency positions. I just wanted to start one that discusses all residencies in Houston.
I have already applied for a Memorial Hermann and Ben Taub Nurse residency position. I have also applied to the CVICU, ER, and Women's Services positions for Houston Methodist, as well as an ER position at Texas Children's. I am considering if I still want to apply to St. Lukes. I have decided not to apply to HCA nurse intern positions because they pay beans for the first 12 weeks, and I don't want to work for a corporation that takes advantage of their employees in that way.
I have been invited to Ben Taub's information session, and have received an email from Memorial Hermann HR regarding a behavioral assessment to be an eligible candidate for employment.
I'm wondering where you all may have applied and if anyone has heard anything back from their applications yet?
Hey guys. I got an email from Haze saying the culture date has been moved to feb 3rd i stead if jan 22. Does that mean out start date has been moved to feb 3rd? I emailed haze and havent heard anything back. Im just curious when exactly is our start date? I was supposed to start jan 22. Thanks yall
Maxpuppy--you should have received another email that said that "the sender would like to recall the message" I think you should disregard this email you're talking about. I don't think he meant to send it to us. We'll probably hear from him again soon.

So does did the message apply to late starters then?

I think that's what he meant. I'm not sure Athlete2bNurseBSN because my starting date is February 8 and we were told the day of the health screening that ours would probably be on February 12. I hope to receive an email from him tomorrow or next week because all of this is very confusing.
Quick question--did y'all get royal blue scrubs?? The royal blue I got does not match the color sample I was given at health screening and the lady at life uniform told me that Royal blue is the color for MH.
