How much does any LPN who works in upstate New York make an hour working in a nursing home passing meds?
I, too, am amazed at what the pittance they pay some of you. We have lower pay here in the very NW corner of WA state than they do in Seattle.
My wife was at $16.00 as a new grad LPN in an out pt surgery center. no weekends and almost always off on time, very occasional overtime, ok bennies.
LTC here is about 14-15 for new grad LPN's. I expect to get 15-16 if I stay local and towards 20 if I go to the greater seattle are (about 1-1.5hrs)
Here new grad RN's start at about 22+ and about another 5 bucks for Seattle.
I work at a facility that the LPNs make $21.75 an hour and a $3.00 shift diff for evenings and nights. We also have a baylor program where you work 24 hours and get paid for 40 hours every weekend 12 hour shifts. That comes to 33.50 per hour
What area is this in? You give no indication of where you are.
Move to Las Vegas!!I am an L.P.N. and currently make 17.25 an hour and shortage is so bad I have been given M.D.S. coordinator position at 20 bucks!!!
regular l.p.n. starts at around 16 bucks with bonus.
I just passed the LPN board , they offer me $14.75 at local nursing home midwest, I have 8 years CNA experience. I am thinking about to move.
How is the rent apt price now in Las Vagas?
Thanks!
Ashera, LPN

Work agency in San Antonio, TX - steady rate per hour is $23 - however I could make up to $29 if I was willing to commute an hour. Right now - at an inner city hospital - Tele and step down and acute med/surg - make 22 an hour -no benifits on any of this - but the pay is good. Make more than staff RN's in many of these areas.
