I have a nurse friend who moved to Texas (she's originally from there) and I was wondering WHAT THE HECK the giant thing with all the ribbons on it was attached to her daughter's cheer uniform. And this is a 6th grader! That explains it, River Song. Thanks!!
We had homecoming last week. It was fun to watch all the kids dress up (we have theme days). Friday was the quietest day we have had since I have started here because everyone was getting fired up for the pep rally.
GO BULLDOGS!!!
Me in high school (Texas):
"Mama! Can you buy me a mum? Es para Homecoming!" Translation: "it's for Homecoming."
"Homecoming? Que eso?" Translation: "What's that?"
"Explained to mother"
"QUE NO MANCHES! CON DINERO? PARA QUE TE VEZ COMO UNA VACA? NO CHINGAS! LIMPIA LOS FRIJOLES!"
Translation: "Are you kidding me?! With what money? So you can look like a cow? Don't sh-t around! Clean the beans!"
Every year... different excuse.
GO TIGERS!

and so many sore throats and upper respiratory issues.
This happens every year the week of Homecoming. Little Darlings coming in not wanting to go home but feel and look like poo. This is about the only week they cry about being sent home with a fever and having to be out for an extra day. At least it's almost over!!!
Go Tigers!!!!!
Happy Friday, Ya'll!!!!!!
