Anyone have any reviews about this school? It seems very small and I am having a hard time finding people who have attended, particularly the MSN programs.

hello

yes i believe there was a preceptor coordinator, and yes was in the fnp program, it was 2 years for me getting my masters, the classes were during the weekends i believe thurs to sunday, once per month, so in between this time you do have a lot of assignments, reading, papers, etc., the first year no clinical but second year starts your clinical experience and you need to fullfill your hours in family practice, peds, and ob/gyn, you do have timed exams online or quiz in class and discussions, presentations, projects, it can be hard on people working fulltime, esp in the second year, you may need more time to complete then 2 years, but you can do it easier if partime work; the teachers are very assessible , class size smaller, guests speakers and lab work as well, instructors are very helpful, avail by email, or appts, coordinator is helpful,

hope this helps, i enjoyed my time there

Csung1818,

Thank you very much for all the input...i really appreciate it. It is very helpful to know the perspective of a former student that has attended the school that one is considering. I did get accepted and will be starting in spring. If it is ok with may I contact you with any further questions that may arise in the near future?

Thank You

congratulations!

no problem, any time you have questions just let me know

csung1818,

Thanks!! And will contact you if I have any further questions.

I'm considering the FNP program at HNU. How was the lab conducted, and what skills were learned? Did you feel ready for clinicals and practice once you graduated from the program?

Hi, I'll be attending in Jan-2012 and has hoping to get first hand info on the FNP program and financing options. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

MBA2RN, please keep in touch and let me know your impression of the first semester.

I am interested in applying for the LVN to BSN program at holy names and i am concerned about the cost. I am aware that they have financial aide. Does anyone have an estimate they can give me on how much it cost to attend this program? Do you pay a portion up front? any information would be helpful. also anybody who went to this program work full time? thanks in advance for the help.

Anyone looking into this program should be warned, it is completely unorganized. No, unorganized isn't strong enough...a logistical TRAINWRECK is closer to the truth. Not enough seats for the number of students enrolled, shifting between the live instruction classroom and the tele-classrooms every two hours, understaffed, there wasn't even a departmental secretary to field questions or direct inquiries. $800/unit? They didn't put a fraction of that tuition into the program. I enrolled and went to the first few sessions and saw "COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME" as the only possible outcome. There are much better values out there.

Thanks for the update MBA2RN. Do you plan on attending a different FNP program in the area? What's next for you?

MBA2RN's post said it all in the 1 paragraph!!!! very very true all of it ...know from experience.
