Holy Family University

Published

I've recently been accepted to Holy Family's Accelerated Nursing program-- I understand they have just begun their first cohort, so finding information is very difficult and I just want to be informed before I make any sort of decision. Are there any current HFU accelerated nursing students or traditional nursing students who can speak to their experience with the university? I've seen many negative posts but they also seem a bit outdated! Thanks!

But Gwynedd Mercy is so expensive..........

I know but I didn't not know the cost before I applied. Holy family is really far for me me to travel so I will probably be forced to get an apartment or a newer reliable car.

After much consideration, I have made up my mind and have decided to attend Holy Family.

Congrats mrvazquez33! Are you attending this coming spring?

Congrats to you! At what area are you planning to search apartment?

I'm not sure. I may just get a newer car and commute since it'll be cheaper that way. I know the closest apartments are like 15 min away and there aren't that many available.

Hi All

I am interested in applying to this program - can anyone that was accepted give information on what they put down for their personal statement? The instructions are very general.

Thanks!

A

To be perfectly honest, I don't remember exactly what I put down because it was months ago but it was somewhere along the lines of why I was interested in nursing, I talked about things I've done to achieve that goal and why I was a good candidate. Hope that helps.

Hi again!

I was contacted for an interview-- could anyone give me any advice about the interview? What types of questions were asked? / What should I expect? I'm curious about what to expect, I've never done a college interview before. Thanks!

I was only asked why I wanted to be a nurse and was I working. It was more of a conversational thing for me. Just be yourself. Definitely be prepared but don't be reheorifice your answers, just be yourself.

Was it a one-on-one interview or were there other students being interviewed with you as well?
